Dr Laureen Turner brings a plethora of background and experience as a Professor, Registered Nurse, and International Speaker.

Dr Turner’s passion is with traveling and storytelling. She enhances vacation memories by connecting history, myth, and folklore with sites and experiences in port. She is an avid traveler, photographer and scuba diver who connects her experiences with her presentations. As an award-winning photographer, she is often found on deck helping people capture wildlife at sea, sunsets, clouds, and celestial bodies.

Dr Turner has over 30 years of experience working with patients from newborns to seniors. She has clinical expertise in adult medicine, home infusion, hospice, pediatrics, obstetrics, cannabis nursing, and preoperative care. As a registered nurse, Dr Turner present on topics relating to overall wellness with a focus on the impact of cruising on health.

Dr Turner uses education and experience as a professor to create interesting and interactive learning sessions that are both entertaining and impactful. She received her EdD from the University of San Francisco with an emphasis in Learning and Instruction. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing Education, Master of Arts in Organizational Management, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and is a Certified Nurse Educator.

I have a passion for storytelling as it relates to travel, myths, history, legends, and folklore. I find that connecting local folklore significantly enhances travel memories. I am an avid traveler, photographer and scuba diver and often merge my prior experiences in port and my photos with my lectures. As an award winning photographer, I was the founding owner of Wow Factor photography. I love to teach people simple tricks to make their photography pop and can frequently be found on the aft of a cruise whip helping people capture wildlife at sea. Additionally, as a registered nurses, I present on topics relating to overall wellness with a focus on the impact of cruising on health.
