BIOGRAPHY
Emily Bozeman Mixon has been involved in Arts & Crafts for over 40 years. Traveling from her home in Tennessee to craft fairs as far away as Michigan to sell her self designed quilts. Managing two craft supply stores for World of Handicrafts based in Memphis, Tennessee and promoting craft fairs for the local mall and Chattanooga Choo Choo tourist attraction kept her very busy.

Emily owned her own business for over 30 years making gift baskets for corporate accounts. This went very well with her interest in the arts & crafts field and allowed her to be very creative with her work.

Emily began teaching arts & crafts on cruise ships in 1992 until the present time. Being retired she is able to travel extensively and is available for cruises of all lengths. Cruise lines that she has taught on include Costa, Cunard, Celebrity, Carnival and Holland America on their Grand Voyages . Many of her classes are attended by 100 or more passengers.

Emily has traveled extensively to many countries including Western Africa, Europe, all of the Med, Mexico, Alaska, Canada, Australia, The South Pacific, South America, Central America, The Caribbean., and others.
CLASSES & WORKSHOP
Emily offers a variety of classes and always does projects that are useful and can be easily packed and taken home by the passengers who attend my classes. I also try to make projects that relate to upcoming holidays, such as Valentines Day, St Patrick's Day, Mardi Gras, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas etc. I have projects that would relate to the country we are visiting. An example is the Spanish Doll pincushion that I teach when we are in Spain.

Needlework projects such as Luggage Tags, Travel Scissor Cases where I provide the small travel scissor, Notepads, Greeting Cards, Bookmarks, decorated sun visors, hand painted wooden magnets, eyeglass cases, nail file cases, wine glass markers, decorative hair combs, etc

Depending on the celebration onboard hand decorated masks are always a hit and a fun class

Quilt square hot pads and potholders are some of the most popular classes. I prepare the kits ahead and each participant can pick out the kit in the colors of their choice. Spool dolls are another favorite and can be made in fabrics and with embellishments to coincide with the countries that are being visited. These classes require 3 one hour classes to complete .

Beginning with some of the easier classes and going on to progressively harder classes as the cruise continues is the way that Emily prefers to teach on the cruise ships. Classes are always fun and everyone takes home memories and makes new friends.

Photos of my crafts are available by email upon request.
CRUISE HISTORY / EXPERIENCE
For 25 years I have been teaching arts & crafts on cruise ships. I have taught on Costa, Celebrity, Cunard, Carnival, and most recently Holland America where I have taught on their Grand Voyages. In 2018 I am scheduled to teach for a portion of the World Cruise for Viking. My most recent cruises include South America and the Grand Med for Holland America on their Grand Voyages.
ADDITIONAL RELEVANT INFORMATION
I do carry travel insurance for myself and assistant in my class who will travel with me and help me with the class. My husband, my sister, or one of my grown children could be my assistant depending on when the cruise is and the length of time. My husband is also retired as is my sister and either of them can usually go to help me with the class.
