A lively, educated, and entertaining speaker, Dr. Lori Verderame is an award winning TV personality, world history and art/architectural history expert, and highly sought-after keynote speaker on land and at sea.

On international TV, Dr. Lori is the artifacts expert on the History Channel’s #1 hit TV show, The Curse of Oak Island, popular appraiser on Discovery channel’s international hit show, Auction Kings, and on-air talent on Fox Business Network’s Strange Inheritance. Dr. Lori has also appeared on NBC's The Tonight Show and TODAY, Comedy Central's The Daily Show, Inside Edition, Lifetime Television, and with CNN’s Anderson Cooper. She is the director of the fine art and antiques resource, Dr. Lori is a frequent international traveler and lectures widely on art, antiques, architecture, landmarks, world history, culture, and history. She has lectured in world class museums including the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, Russia, the Louvre in Paris, France, the Uffizi in Florence, Italy, the Vatican museums, and the MFA in Boston, to name a few. Dr. Lori has lectured in 50 countries worldwide on numerous destination, fine art, architecture, antiques, culture, finance and patterns of collecting, and world history topics.

Dr. Lori entertains audiences as a keynote speaker at more than 150 events every year in the United States. She presents at corporate events, industry conferences, home and garden shows, women’s expos, sports stadiums and arenas, museums, colleges and universities, charity fundraisers, etc. Through her work as a Ph.D. antiques appraiser, Dr. Lori evaluates 20,000 objects annually at events throughout the United States and presents her popular live stage show, “Dr. Lori’s Antiques Appraisal Comedy Show”.

A Connecticut native and longtime resident of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Dr. Lori is a graduate of the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor (A. B., World History) and Wesleyan University (M. A. Art History/Museology). She earned her Ph.D. in World Art and Architectural History from Pennsylvania State University in University Park, PA where she also served on the university’s faculty. Dr. Lori has taught world art and architectural history at Penn State University, State University of New York, Albertus Magnus College, Southern Connecticut State University, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and University of Pennsylvania. She has held museum positions as director and curator at major museums including the Yale University Art Gallery, Allentown Art Museum, Palmer Museum of Art at Penn State University, and Muhlenberg College. Also, she has lived in London, England and worked for the BBC.
