BIOGRAPHY
Roger was for many years a leading member of Toastmasters International and he has won and judged many speech contests. He has written 31 books, some on the subjects on which he speaks. He is renowned for bringing to life his lectures with humour, and with fascinating and sometimes little-known insights. Just one example from his lecture on the Duke of Wellington: he describes how the Duke shared two mistresses with Napoleon – though not at the same time. He has many years’ experience of delivering very successful lectures on cruise ships.

With a lifelong interest in history he is very much in demand to present lectures in the UK on historical subjects to groups such as Probus, WI, U3A and various charities.
