BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Marcus’ expertise on the British Royal family has earned her the title of “royal watcher” by South Florida media seeking her comments on major events in the lives of the Royals. She has traveled extensively throughout the United Kingdom, living at one time as a cultural ambassador in northern England.

With over 30 years administrative and teaching experience in both high school and college, she now turns her talents to teaching adult audiences. Her background in literature, art history, history and the Classics, has made her a popular speaker at Lifelong Learning programs on the campuses of universities in South Florida. Noted for her engaging style and colorful PowerPoint presentations (many of which include video clips), she appears regularly for civic organizations, at community centers, country clubs, and libraries throughout South Florida.

Margery is a native of and very knowledgeable about the central Atlantic coastal states, where she grew up, attended college, and raised a family, respectively in New Jersey, North Carolina, and Florida where she currently lives. She has traveled extensively to historic and cultural sites in the U.S., Canada, the British Isles, and the Mediterranean. Her illustrated talks use paintings, portraits, photographs, and maps to evocatively explore culture through history, art, and literature. She earned her B. A. degree in English (College of New Jersey), and Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Education (University of North Carolina and Nova Southeastern University, respectively). She has taught at the University of North Carolina, Nova Southeastern University, and Florida Atlantic University.
