BIOGRAPHY
Adrian Sumner trained at Liverpool College of Art(1970-73) and has been involved in many aspects of the Visual Arts ever since.
He has lectured at Universities including Birmingham, Liverpool, Ekaterinburg(in the former Soviet Union) and is a Member of the Manchester Academy of Fine Art.

Adrian has lectured on cruise ships for some 25 years, especially on the Arts of Europe and the Mediterranean, Scandinavia and the Baltic.
He has also undertaken Study Tours to many destinations, including Paris, Vienna, Prague, Venice, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Florence, Rome, Berlin, and British destinations such as London, Oxford, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

He has some 150 different lectures, on most aspects of Western Art, and is an accredited lecturer in The Arts Society (former NADFAS) Directory.
He has organised numerous exhibitions in Britain and abroad, including Exchange exhibitions in Italy, France, Germany and the former Soviet Union. and works as a professional painter and Illustrator.

CRUISE HISTORY / EXPERIENCE
Extensive experience over 25 years, working for Viking, Cunard, Fred Olsen, Saga, Oceania, P &O, and others. This has included the Baltic(Scandinavian countries plus Germany, Poland, Baltic States, as well as Iceland), The Mediterranean( most of Italy and Sicily, Spain(including the Guggenheim Bilbao) and France, as well as Classical Greece and the Dalmatian coast), North America (Eastern Seaboard including New York and Canada), the Canaries, Madeira and the Azores. Specialist subjects include the Italian Renaissance, the Baroque, Painting of the Mediterranean, Impressionism and Post-Impressionism, Modernism, Art Nouveau and Art Deco.
Professional painter with numerous exhibitions, most recently at the Grosvenor Museum Chester. Member of the Manchester Academy of Fine Art. Lecturer for many Educational establishments, providing visiting lecturer services. Accredited lecturer in the Arts Society Directory. Organiser of Study Days and Study Tours to many European and American Cities.
