PRESENTATIONS
Hello there
I am a retired businessman with an avid interest in historical events and in particular Motor Racing and vehicles in general. My presentation skills have been honed over the last 30 years having made both technical, and stimulating entertaining “Talks” to audiences of between 5 and 300 in the UK and Europe, So sit back and be entertained by a variation of presentations (most with audience participation)

My current presentations are as follows:-

1. 1950’s 1960’s Motor Racing “A Magical step back in time “
My experiences at the “Goodwood Revival” the largest “in-period” motor racing event in the world .A section includes Sir Sir Stirling Moss’s record breaking win in the grueling 1955 Mille Migla road race in Italy, examples of the growth of the Classic Car Market, and what to look for at Classic Auctions with a “Mock Auction” slot to involve and entertain the audience

2. The Story of the “Gang Wars “ of the 1920’s in Sheffield and Glasgow
How the cities were powerless to resist until Sir Percy Sillitoe was appointed by the Government of the time to “Smash the Gangs” with the special “Flying Squad” of tough police officers His promotion to be Director General of M I 5,and more….. The talk details the feature film to be made on the subject, and the fight for the preservation of Historic Buildings in our cities

3. The Air Ambulance Service, how it operates and could save your life and how the problem of building “Helipads for Hospitals” is being solved throughout the country at no cost to the N.H.S.
Can a “Drinks Can” save YOUR life…?? Some of the unbelievable solutions to the desperately needed provision of transfer of critically injured patients into the trauma unit
Dispelling some of the presumptions we have of the Air Ambulance service in the U K today

4. Does the U K Criminal Justice System really work..?
An interesting look behind the scenes of the Prosecution, Courts, Prison, and Probation services in the UK and a view of how they (don’t.?) work together to stop re-offending and make our streets, homes and work places safe from criminal activity. An “insiders” view on the truth behind the official statements of the government of how “All is OK” out there

5. The ”History of the British Motor Industry” from the introduction of the “Horseless Carriage”. Names lost forever and those who have endured despite turbulent times, and the fortunes of the Entrepreneurs, Designers, Engineers ,Chancers, Gamblers ,and Con men who have made the Motor Industry what it is today, ………and what it will be in the future
A presentation that will evoke good (and bad) memories, and missed opportunities, remorse and regret for all who aspired to purchase what now is our heritage and history…despite what Henry Ford said..!

6. Electric Cars Are they just a “passing fancy” ? or are they here to stay
An overview of the industry, its aims and shortcomings A look at some of the “Myths” that surround the Electric Car, and the options which baffle most potential adopters of this “new” mode of transport, which can trace its history back to 1832 with the launch of the “ELECTROBAT” A detailed history of the E. V. concept, and the dominance of present and future battery production which will dictate WHO is in control of world supply
Will it be superseded by other forms of propulsion and when will this
be..?

7. “How to survive Open Heart Surgery” (a beginner’s guide)
A lighthearted look at what you need to do to get on with your life after major surgery, how to cope with a life-changing experience and how the medical profession are making heart surgery just another simple procedure. This is from personal experience and much research into the new innovations in this field
(No blood is used, or pain experienced in this Talk…!)
But it could change your life and how you view the future
