BIOGRAPHY
A versatile musician and educator, Adrian Finnerty is an experienced teacher, lecturer, composer, conductor, pianist, organist, and music historian. His academic qualifications include: BA(Hons) in Music and the Arts, MA in Music (with Distinction) and MA in Education from the Open University; MMus in Composition, Jazz and 20th Century Music from the University of Edinburgh; MSc in Practitioner Research from the University of Strathclyde; DipTMus (Diploma in the Teaching of Music) from St. Andrew's College of Education; DipABRSM (Diploma of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) in piano teaching; and the ALCM (Associate Diploma of the London College of Music) in piano performing. He is also a member of the European Piano Teachers Association and a Fellow of the Incorporated Society of Musicians (FISM).

Adrianís talks are delivered in an interesting and engaging manner, with colourfully illustrated presentations including a range of audio excerpts and video clips, providing a very enjoyable insight. Adrianís musical interests are very wide, including many aspects of Classical, Jazz, Popular and Traditional Music. The talks are suited to a variety of itineraries as well as Music themed cruises. They relate particularly well to the Baltic (including Scandinavia and Russia), the Norwegian Fjords, Scotland, Germany, Austria, France, European rivers and cities, as well as general interest. His musical interests include the History of Music, European Music and culture, National Identity in Music, Scandinavian and Russian Music, American Music, Scottish Music, Music of the British Isles, Film Music, Music and Art, and Jazz.

Adrianís talks are suited to a variety of itineraries as well as Music themed cruises. They relate particularly well to the Baltic (including Scandinavia and Russia), the Norwegian Fjords, Scotland, Germany, Austria, France, European rivers and cities, as well as general interest.
