Shannon Thomas Perich has been a curator at the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History more than 25 years where she stewards a history of photography collection. Her books, articles, presentations, and exhibitions have been seen across the US and Europe. She is an adjunct professor and teaches history of photography at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland. As the daughter of a member of the military, she has lived in Germany and Panama, as such she loves to travel and explore the world. Perich's lectures reflect her curiosity about art, culture, and history.
