Tiiu Lukk
M.S. Columbia University Graduate
School of Journalism
Tiiu Lukk has served as an enrichment lecturer and a naturalist for more than 23 years in Africa, the South Pacific, Scandinavia and the Baltic, the Mediterranean, Amazon, South America, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, Central America, Alaska, Southeast Asia, Asia, the Middle East, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii. Tiiu has visited 119 countries throughout the world. She has served on eight different cruise lines, as well as a Smithsonian Journeys Expert on both land and sea.
Tiiu’s career has encompassed work as a journalist, a foreign correspondent in southern Africa for ABC News and the Washington Star, as a documentary filmmaker, and an author. Her PBS film "Trobriand Cricket" won an Emmy Award. Her travel writing has been published in the Washington Post and the Dallas Morning News. Tiiu has a B.A. degree from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, and an M.S. degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
Tiiu’s beautifully illustrated Keynote presentations focus on the history, culture, art, architecture, and natural history of destinations, so that passengers step ashore with more understanding and knowledge of a destination, giving them a greater appreciation of what they experience while they are in port. She brings the sensibility of a naturalist, the eye of a documentary filmmaker and art historian, the insatiable curiosity of a journalist, and the appreciation of a world traveler to all of her presentations.

Ms. Lukk tailors her presentations to specific cruise itineraries. For more information, please contact her on this site.
