BIOGRAPHY
Corey Sandler has been a storyteller all his life. Beginning as a reporter for a small-town daily paper, he covered two national Presidential campaigns and become a correspondent for The Associated Press.

He has written more than 220 books on history, sports, travel, computers, and business; several titles have become national bestsellers. He has appeared as a guest on NBC’s “Today” show, CNN, National Public Radio, and The Travel Channel.

Sandler has lectured on more than 200 cruises aboard the world's leading luxury cruise lines for many years, lecturing in the Mediterranean, Aegean, Baltic, far northern Norway and the Arctic, Central and South America, the North Atlantic, and the Canadian Maritimes.

He offers a unique combination: a full library of special interest talks on music, art, culture, history, and great lives, and a vast collection of entertaining and useful destination talks.

He is available for single cruises, or sets of back-to-back engagements for periods of many weeks.

One of Sandler’s books, “Henry Hudson: Dreams and Obsession”, tells the story of the New World’s least understood explorer. In two years of research by ship, bush plane and canoe, Sandler retraced Hudson’s voyages to the ice barrier of the North Pole, his exploration of the Hudson River and his final trip into northern Canada where he was set adrift by his crew to die.

“Watching Baseball”, written with former Boston Red Sox star and broadcaster Jerry Remy, was a runaway bestseller in 2004, the year Boston broke the Curse of the Bambino and won the World Series.

Sandler has an eye for unusual connections between people, places, and events. An accomplished photographer, he illustrates his lectures with pictures taken in some of the most famous and most obscure places on earth.

His lectures blend a broad understanding of history and culture in an entertaining package of photos, music, and video.

He and his wife Janice live on the harbor of Boston, Massachusetts after more than three decades of residence on the island of Nantucket.

... and many more talks on music, art, culture, and history

That makes him an especially valuable speaker for itineraries that include many days at sea, allowing him to mix destination and special interest talks as needed. He is a Cruise Director's best friend when a ship is forced to miss a port because of weather, marching from his cabin to the stage with an extra lecture anytime, anywhere.

Sandler is equally at ease on a network television show watched by tens of millions of viewers and at an informal gathering of half a dozen guests in the lounge or on tour. And he delivers a two-for-one deal, accompanied by his gracious wife, herself an accomplished museum docent and author.
CRUISE HISTORY / EXPERIENCE
I am a bestselling author and an experienced speaker aboard cruise ships and have appeared on many network television shows.

For the past 14 years, I have given talks all around the globe for the world's leading cruise lines.

I am available for multi-cruise engagements, and can often come to the rescue on short notice if there is an unexpected opening aboard ship.

I have been the featured speaker on more than 200 cruises over the years.

My skills work well with port-intensive cruises as well as those with many days at sea. I have an extensive collection of destination talks that feature the culture, history, and attractions of ports of call. I also have a library of entertaining and engaging special interest speaker on Arts and Ideas.

All of my talks include photos I have taken around the world, and I have also conducted informal photography courses and met with guests to help them get the most from their cameras and cell phones.

And if a port is canceled because of weather or other situations, you can count on me to appear at the cruise director's door ready to add talks for an extra day at sea.
