David Smith was a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for 40-years having an extensive variety of duties which has taken him throughout all of Canada, Europe, Africa, and the US. He volunteered and served in two war zones in Africa and the Balkans working for the United Nations, International War Crimes Tribunal, and NATO. He is graduate of Simon Fraser University and the Canadian Police College. He served several years with RCMP Equestrian Unit having been a guest at Windsor Castle with Queen Elizabeth and a guest in the White House. His duties have included a Forensic Expert, Underwater Investigator, Negotiator, International Liaison Officer, and Marine Units. David’s extra-curricular activities include various Equestrian Disciplines, Ocean Kayaker, Hiker, Sailing, Alpine Skiing, Biking, and SCUBA. He has represented Canada Internationally with Tourism Canada, and has been an international guest lecturer on cruise ships since 2007. David is a professional speaker providing entertaining talks on History and personal knowledge having experienced the ports to bring out the little known facts.
