The list of presentations/lectures below is indicative of what is on offer. But the number of presentations, their order, mix & match content are all possible and readily adaptable and available.
1) Nature & Wildlife Photography
Param walks you through a pictorial treat of his genre of photography. He emphasises the skill of pre-visualisation & fieldcraft. A gorgeous potpourri of images is presented.
2) A Photo Diary from the Farne Islands & Bass Rock
The auk family - guillemots, razorbills & puffins – are displayed in their natural best along with arctic terns, gannets, etc. Param’s expertise of capturing birds in flight are a treat to behold.
3) A Photographer’s Journey through the Galapagos Islands
The unique fauna of these remote islands is brought to you; some have adapted & some are unique to these islands. The image quality is superb.
4) The Fjords of Norway
Param travels up along the west coast of Norway to bring to you the beauty of these unique landscapes. The formation of the fjords, glaciers & glaciation are mentioned but the narrative is kept simple.
5) Iceland: Land of Fire & Ice
Param takes you around this unique island & its geothermal & volcanic landscape. But there are waterfalls & whales & some birdlife too. He apologises that the images of the recent eruption are not his own but he is keen that you see them.
6) Way up North – Around Svalbard & Greenland
Remote yet enchantingly beautiful, the essence of the land, the sea, glaciers & ice are brought to you via Param’s images & narrative. The effects of global warning and alas its exaggerated consequence in the Arctic is mentioned. The visuals are in a class of their own.
7) The Antarctic Peninsula & South Georgia – 1
“There is nothing else like it in the world”, these were my thoughts when I was there the first time. I have returned there since. The beauty of the landscape and ice is intoxicating. The wildlife is exquisite too.
8) The Antarctic Peninsula, South Georgia & the Falklands – 2
As in 7) above but with additional images of the wildlife, both marine mammals and avifauna.
9) A Fine Romance – The Tiger Story - 1
Param is recognised as a leading wild tiger photographer, you may call it his passion and/or madness!! He is the author of “Tiger Tryst”, a monumental work condensing a decade of his photographic endeavour.
10) The Tiger Story – 2: A Tigress called Spotty & her Cubs
This compilation is probably amongst the best of wild tiger images. Some unique natural history images are on display, many are world exclusive. Param’s knowledge of tiger behaviour is par excellence.
11) A Himalayan Diary – A trek to Everest Base Camp in Nepal
This is another one of Param’s unique journeys, embellished with his photos & narrative
12) A Himalayan Diary – Dispatches from Ladakh
Param is a guest of the Indian Army. They are deployed in Ladakh at altitude. Some unique imagery from this less visited part of the Himalayas. Altitude sickness & acclimatisation are explained too.
13) From the Canadian Tundra – Polar Bear Photo Diary
Param gets himself up to the NW of Canada around Hudson Bay. This is another unforgettable excursion into the world of the polar bear. Some unforgettable images are on view too!
14) The Biodiversity of the South Asian Forests
The Asian Elephant and their young are on view, so cute! This is a rich collection of flora & fauna from these habitats.
15) Photographic Dispatches from Madagascar, Namibia, South Africa, India & Brazil
A pictorial presentation of wildlife from these habitats.
