BIOGRAPHY
Chris was born in West Yorkshire and his love of drama and the stage led to him going to Bristol University to study Drama and French, before his love for travel took him to Algeria, where he remained for two years, teaching English and encouraging an interest in theatre, music and the arts on behalf of the British Council.

He returned to England to study Theology at Cambridge, before being ordained as an Anglican priest.

Since ordination he worked as a Curate in Hampshire and as Precentor of Durham Cathedral before he left England once more to work in Eastern Europe. This was shortly after the fall of communism in those countries to work as Chaplain to the English speaking communities there, and as the Anglican envoy to the Orthodox Churches in Romania and Bulgaria.

On returning to England he worked as a parish priest in Colchester, and among other posts was Diocesan Exorcist, whilst working as the Chaplain to the Bishop of Chelmsford, working in Essex and East London as well as assisting the Bishop in his role as a member of the House of Lords.

In 2010 he became Vicar of Lancaster, working in the historic setting of Lancaster Priory Church, with its ministry to the City, County, and Duchy of Lancaster.

Chris lives with his partner David, a GP, and they are legal guardians to a teenage boy.
He still loves walking the dog, as well as travel, music, theatre, opera, cinema, good food (and drink) but above all – Chris loves life!
