Jill Alblas

Following her degree and teaching certificate Jill taught for many years in colleges of Further Education before taking the leap to working as a freelance designer. Over the years Jill has designed art and craft products for many major companies including W.H.Smith, Early Learning Centre and Disney. She continues to teach and travels widely to hold workshops in the U.K., Europe and recently to teach jewellery making in Moscow and silk painting in Kalliningrad. Many years of experience means that Jill can offer a broad range of classes.

Mary Britton

Mary's career in the catering industry included working for the Queen Mother, and being solely responsible for patisserie at the prestigious Palace Hotel in Torquay. Her works lead her into cake decoration, marzipan modelling and sugar-craft. She has been a judge for the Sugarcraft Guild. Her other skills include watercolour and oil painting, pastels, together with porcelain painting and jewellery making. Her work has been exhibited on several occasions in Brittany where she lives.

Gill has always been interested in crafts and interior design and loves to share her skill and knowledge with others. Using her own designs she enjoys encouraging people to try something new in a fun environment, and leave the class with enough knowledge and confidence to continue on their return home. She currently teaches decorative painting, one stroke painting, narrowboat painting, designer gift wrapping, Christmas crafts, jewellery making, silk ribbon roses, origami, paper crafts, tatting & wire crochet.

Sylvianne studied Fine Art, Spatial Design and Graphic Design at the University of East Anglia. She has had a varied career in the Art world from theatre, set and costume design for West End productions, to onscreen graphic operator and Senior Motion Graphic Designer. As a committed artist and craftsperson, trained in all mediums, she is now passing on her many skills in Watercolour painting, sketching, various crafts and sewing. Her workshops are simple, accessible and fun and she is always willing to spend that extra time to encourage her students to reach their own personal artistic goals.

Barbara Gilligan

Barbara Gilligan presently has an art Studio where she teaches Art and Adult Craft Classes. She teaches Wreath Making, Painted Glassware, Signage and Decoupage and Art Classes. She has studied with a Master Artist from Russia for 4 years to become Certified as a Zhostovo Painting Instructor. Zhostovo painting is a form of Russian Decorative Painting. She has also studied Art under several different instructors and mediums, including, Water Color, Colored Pencil and Oil Painting. She loves the Ocean and Cruising and would like to combine her love of teaching Art and Crafts with her Love for Cruising...

Barbara has been in love with beads and all forms of jewellery since childhood and she went on to work with a family of diamond merchants in Londonís Hatton Garden from where she garnered much inspiration. Her teaching has taken many forms including teaching jewellery making on cruise ships. Her classes are very popular and have always gained exceptionally high satisfaction marks from passengers. She loves to share her enthusiasm, enabling others to discover abilities they never realised they had and then take home beautiful, long lasting, memories of wonderful holidays.

Kathy Marsh

Coming from: Belfast,  Down  Northern Ireland
After studying fine art in Belfast and Staffordshire universities, Kathy was awarded a place on a EU funded arts and language program in Florence, Italy. There she developed her art practice working alongside other artists and craftspeople. In her career as an artist, Kathy has received many awards and recognition for her work as a teacher and collaborative artist. On board cruises, the location and art history of the place and sights will inspire the art classes. Classes are taught through tutor demonstrations and one to one tuition.

Emily Mixon

Emily Bozeman Mixon has been involved in Arts and Crafts for over 40 years. She attended many crafts shows as a participant for over 15 years traveling from Tennessee to as far away as Michigan to sell her wares. She managed two craft supplies stores for a craft supply company located in Memphis, Tennessee. In 1992 Emily began teaching arts & crafts on cruise ships for Costa, Cunard, Celebrity and Holland America and has been doing so ever since. She has taught many classes with 100 or more people in attendance and others with 25-35 people in attendance.

Claudia Puma

Claudia Puma's life pursuit has been in the arts and crafts field, her love of color and design took many forms over the past 40 years. For over 38 years she participated in some of the best art fairs in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. She won awards for her designs in Quilting and in jewelry design, Creative Designs was a very appropriate name for her business. Claudia began teaching on cruise ships in 1986 and has taught on Costa, Celebrity, Cunard, and Carnival, and has traveled extensively in the Mediterranean, Central American, Caribbean, and USA. Traveling the world is a passion for Claudia, teaching classes on cruise brings her two passions together.

Linda Rochester

Linda is originally from the south coast and has lived in the historical city of Lincoln for 25 years. Linda has always been a crafter and painter. She can offer a diverse programme of embroidery based projects, some can be completed in a single lesson , others in a series of classes depending upon the cruise duration. Linda can also teach painting in acrylics, usually flora and fauna which are her special interest. Her Arts & Crafts classes are suitable for beginners and the more experienced.

Louise Shields
Craft Instructor
Coming from: Dromore,  County Down  Northern Ireland
Louise is from County Down in Northern Ireland where she has been lecturing in Arts and Crafts for the Southern Regional College for the past 20 years. She was also Arts Advisor for the Girl Guide Association in the Down district for 5 years and has been judge for the sewing and crafts in the City of Newry and District Agricultural Show. Louise has been cruising since the age of 14 and now enjoys combining work and pleasure on board cruise ships.
