GENERAL REQUIREMENTS AS A DESTINATION / PORT LECTURER |
Destination / Port Lecturers provide useful practical traveller information about each port of call on the itineraries, while sharing their expertise on the history, culture, geography and politics of the destination. Destination / Port Lecturers must have in-depth knowledge of the area and possess good research skills to keep the information up to date.
It requires a friendly, outgoing personality with patience. You will need to prepare a PowerPoint slide presentation that has plenty of visual pictures that are aligned to your presentation.
You need to tell the passengers what to see, where to go, what to do.
Some ships may also require that Destination / Port Lecturers promote the Shore Excursions programme. |
